As we head towards the end of the year, don't forget to register your 2020 foals, DNA your sires and dams, and send in your 2020 Stallion Breeding Reports. Be sure to watch the Annual Meeting page for reservation forms, meeting schedules, etc. They will all be posted soon. Our transition to the new software is tentatively scheduled for mid-November. We are so appreciative of the members who generously donated to the Development Fund. We still need donations!! Please contact any BOD or the office to donate. CURRENT AMHA NEWS & INFORMATION THE AMHA OFFICE WILL CLOSE AT NOON NOVEMBER 25TH AND WILL REOPEN NOVEMBER 30TH, SO OUR EMPLOYEES MAY SPEND THANKSGIVING WITH THEIR FAMILIES. 2020 AMHA ANNUAL MEETING CANCELLED DUE TO THE INCREASE IN COVID 19 OUTBREAKS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES, AMHA HAS CANCELLED THE 2020 ANNUAL MEETING. ON NOVEMBER18, 2020 THE BOD MET VIA ZOOM TO DISCUSS HOW BEST TO CONDUCT THE BUSINESS OF AMHA. AFTER MUCH CONSIDERATION, IT WAS DECIDED THAT: The meeting will not be postponed, but cancelled. The next Annual Meeting will take place in the late fall of 2021. New rule change proposals must be submitted on the proper form via email, fax, or mail (postmarked) to the AMHA office by midnight December 12, 2020. Visit the Annual Meeting page for voting items/forms. Due to one LOC member coming off the committee, the new LOC member will be chosen by the LOC committee. In order to provide continuity during these unprecedented times, the Show Rules Committee will extend it's committee members' terms until the 2021 Annual Meeting. For the same reason, after discussion, the BOD voted to extend the current Executive Committee's terms for another year until elections at the 2021 Annual Meeting. The "A" Award winner and the Top Ten Futurity Sires will be featured at the next BOD meeting on December 8, 2020 2021 AMHA WORLD SHOW QUALIFICATIONS: Because 2020 was such an unusual year, the BOD voted to continue the 2 show minimum (as in 2018 & 2019) for the 2021 AMHA World Show. ​ 2020 AMHA WORLD YOUTH SHOW RESULTS 2020 AMHA WORLD SHOW RESULTS IMPORTANT DATES: ​ November 26-27 - AMHA Office closed ​ December 10 -12 - AMHA Annual Meeting, Portland, OR - CANCELLED December 10 - Certified Measurer's Clinic at the Annual Meeting - CANCELLED December 13 - AMHA Judges Clinic, CANCELLED FOR 2020, please see Judge's Page for more info December 31 - all transfers must be completed if you plan on showing in AOTE next year January 15 - 2020 Stallion Breeding Reports must be postmarked to avoid late fees (Northern Hemisphere) September 24 - October 2, 2021 - AMHA World Championship Show ​ IMPORTANT REMINDERS: ​ Make sure your membership is current.
